For this cannabinoid oil method, decarboxylation comes before adding the oil.
- Preheat your oven to 240°F.
- Break the flower into popcorn-sized pieces. Fill the pouch with up to 2 oz.
- Seal the pouch tightly and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 90 minutes for CBD or 40 minutes for THC.
- Let the pouch cool completely before opening and adding oil. If you are infusing later, follow the storage instructions in the full guide.
Same pouch, separate stages: decarb first, then infuse.

Add your oil.
Let it infuse.
Keep your prepared ingredients in the same pouch and move into the infusion stage.
- Lower the oven to 160°F–200°F. The CannaFuse guide recommends around 160°F.
- Open the cooled pouch and add up to 2 cups of oil.
- Optional: add 1 tsp of lecithin per cup of oil.
- Gently massage the pouch to coat the ingredients. Reseal and return it to the baking sheet.
- Infuse for 2 hours, following the pouch instructions.
Choose your oil for what you plan to make next.

Make it yours.
Finish your batch with a clean pour and a clearly labelled container.
- Let the pouch cool completely before handling and opening.
- Pour the oil through your strainer into a suitable glass jar.
- Use gentle pressure with a spatula; avoid forcing plant solids through the strainer.
- Label the container with the ingredients and date. Keep any potency estimate clearly marked as an estimate.
- Refrigerate the remaining oil in a sealed jar. Follow ingredient-specific storage guidance.

Do I need an infusion machine?
The CannaFuse instructions use an oven, a baking sheet and the pouch. A dedicated infusion machine is not required for this method.
Are decarbing and infusing the same step?
No. This guide uses two separate heating stages in the same pouch. Prepare and decarb first, then add oil and infuse.
Can I use this timing for any herb?
These instructions are for cannabis and hemp oil infusions. Use a suitable ingredient-specific recipe for other herbs and botanicals.
Can the calculator tell me the exact strength?
No. It provides estimates using the cannabinoid percentages and amounts you enter. Actual potency depends on preparation, processing losses and distribution. The calculator does not automatically convert THCA or apply an extraction-efficiency adjustment.
