How to Infuse CBD Oil at Home Without Ruining Your Kitchen

DIY CBD Oil Without the Mess
Let’s be honest—most DIY infusion setups are a mess. Between cheesecloth straining, sticky countertops, and scorched pans, it’s no wonder a lot of people give up before they ever get a usable batch of CBD oil.
That’s why we built the CannaFuse Pouch—to make the infusion process cleaner, more consistent, and actually worth your time. If you’ve been thinking about making your own CBD-infused oil at home, here’s a straightforward way to do it without wrecking your kitchen in the process.
Step 1: Decarb Your Flower (Don’t Skip This)
Before anything gets infused, you need to decarboxylate your CBD-rich flower. That just means heating it at a low temperature to activate the cannabinoids.
How to Decarb:
- Preheat your oven to 240°F (115°C)
- Break your flower into popcorn-sized pieces—no grinding
- Place it inside your CannaFuse Pouch and seal it
- Place pouch on a baking sheet and bake for 90 minutes (for CBD)
- Let it cool completely before moving to the next step
Step 2: Load Your CannaFuse Pouch
Once cooled, open the pouch and add your preferred oil—MCT, coconut, avocado, olive, or butter. You can also add 1 tsp of sunflower lecithin per cup of oil to help with absorption.
Massage the pouch to coat everything evenly, reseal it, and place it back on a baking sheet.
Pro Tip: Using a wide-mouth mason jar or tray keeps cleanup simple and prevents floating or leaking. The pouch is made to stay contained and mess-free.
Step 3: Heat It Low and Slow
Place the pouch in an oven set between 160°F–200°F (ideal is around 160°F) for 2 hours.
Why it works better: The CannaFuse Pouch keeps all your plant material contained the entire time—no floating bits, no double-straining, and no scorched oil.
Step 4: Strain and Store
Let the pouch cool completely. Then pour your infused oil through a strainer into a glass jar. Use a spatula to press out every last drop of oil.
The oil is now ready to store, use in recipes, or bottle into tinctures.
Final Notes
- Store infused oil in a sealed glass container in a cool, dark place
- It should stay potent for 1–2 months, depending on the oil
- Wash your pouch with warm water and mild soap—reusable with proper care
